Hey kids,

What time is it? That's right, it's time for The Brewing Network Show! This week, Brewcasters Justin, Jon and Doctor Scott host homebrewer extrordinaire Jamil Zainasheff as he returns to continue the yeast discussion he began during his last appearance. Jamil is widely regarded as the most award-winning homebrewer ever. He won the AHA Ninkasi Award in 2004 and was named Sierra Nevada Homebrewer of the Year in 2002 and 2003. He has won countless other awards in competition throughout the years, is a BJCP National Judge and member of the QUAFF, DOZE and WZZ homebrewing clubs. This week we'll learn about the affect yeast has on flavor and proper temperature manipulation of yeast. Jamil will explode your melon with brewing information, so if you've never heard him speak on the subject, definitely plan to tune in.

At the top of the second hour of the show we will do our official tasting and critique of a commercial beer. This week it will be Heineken! So pick up both a bottle and a can (for a side-by-side comparison) of this famous Dutch lager and sample it along with the Brewcasters as they give their evaluations of this popular and often maligned brew.

The show airs Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time (Monday, 0100 UTC). The beer tasting is at 6:00 p.m. Go to:

and click on the "Listen" button. Drop into the chatroom during the show for real-time interaction with dozens of other homebrewers and to ask questions of the Brewcasters and Jamil. As always, The Brewing Network Show is live, commercial-free, funny and very informative.

If you have any pre-questions to ask of the Brewcasters or guest, send them to justin@thebrewingnetwork.com or post them under the "Beer Radio" topic in The Brewing Network Forum. And don't forget Justin's Blues and Brews Show, which airs Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. (Sunday, 1900 UTC).
