It is most definitely a hygrometer you will want to buy. Go ahead and try and use a hydrometer in your humidor, see what you get....

It certainly does seem like a hydrometer would be a device to measure humidity, but any brewer knows what a hydrometer is for. A hygrometer is used for measuring moisture, like HVAC's use in the crawlspace.
