I like that I can get a few of the beers the BN frequently mentions on the show, and I was just about to sign up for the bomber of the month club for just 10 bucks...but then I looked at the shipping quote for one bomber, and that was 18 bucks...that seems a little too high for me.

I just changed my cart to one can of Monks Blood...16.50 for shipping!

Anybody else decide to use these guys?

I buy beer from them about once a week. But I can't comment on the shipping since they are local to me (right by my work) and I just walk in and buy a bottle or two.

Checkout Liquid Solutions, I think there shipping charges are more reasonable.

I emailed them asking why it was so expensive and got this response:

"Hi John,
Thanks for checking us out. Shipping is so expensive mostly because its beer. UPS and FedEx charge us $5 a box on top of the regular rate because we have to get an adult signature to make the delivery. The regular rates are so high because of the weight and because of the type of account we have to have in order to ship. Its really pretty cost prohibitive to order just one bottle unfortunately. It's about the same rate to ship 2 pounds of beer as it is to ship 10 or 15 pounds.

I ordered from them last night. Shipping for 12 bombers was about $30.

I remember way back on one of the shows JP was saying that B3 was trying to sell beer also. I can only imagine being able to get ingredients and West coast beer. I would never shop anywhere else. Of course that's not going to happen. Would be nice though.

I don't think it is a valid business plan to deliver beer through the mail. It's just too expensive at the volume of demand.
