Jamil's Show - - Thank You, Thank You

Sun Jan 22, 2006 2:09 pm

I just want to extend a thank you to Jamil for his first show. I just had time to listen to the archive. There was a lot of info packed into that broadcast, which is quite refreshing when mixed with Justin's dorm room humor brewing. No offense Justin, I just have at least twenty years on you. Thanks again Jamil. YouDaMan

Thank you for the very kind words. The shows should get even better as I get used to things.

I think at times people don't give Justin enough credit for... uh... well, thanks for the kind words. :D
I hope my post helped in some way. If not, please feel free to contact me.

Good show, I listened to it twice, RIS is one of my favorites. What percentage of Special B should be used in a 6 gallon batch? I never used it before and read other post that said to be careful not to use too much.
ENJOY YER BEER and let them that don't want none have memories of not havin' any!

In lighter beers, at certain percentages, Special B can be a bit funky. But in a huge beer like this, it is a background note at most levels. Here is the basis of the recipe from the show:

I'll offer up some constructive criticism. The show had great content but it was a bit like listening to the SNL spoofs of NPR radio. There wasn't much life in the hosts. I'm not looking for the tangents that the TBN shows heads off in but just a little bit of life in the presentation. I know it was the first show so I'll let this one slide.

Don't be afraid to have some fun. It's not that serious of a subject.

I'm not allowed to have any more fun than yeast can have. It is in my contract.

I think if you just let the show evolve naturally, all will be well. Trying to force entertainment value could have a negative effect.

Jamil and fity-G, just take it one show at a time. I have faith in you.
