How about inviting representatives from some of the brewing schools like UC Davis, Brewers Guild, and Siebel Institute?

How about a running segment on do it yourself equipment builds. Have updates done weekly and photos posted on the forum. For example, how can I build my own stir plate?

If you guys are going to review commercial brews, can you give us a heads up a couple of days in advance so we can have some on hand too? When fstbtms posts the upcoming show info, that would be a perfect time.

Bring back beer jeopordy!

Yes, I agree. I really like the idea of having specific questions prepared beforehand. If you had them early enough, you could let the guest look them over and give them time to prepare their answers. This wouldn't take the place of call-ins or chat room ?'s, but would be a nice added feature. By picking and choosing some of the questions to be asked in advance, I think you'd see more high quality questions and answers. Just my opinion. I love the more freewheeling aspects of the show too. Keep up the good work.

I agree IPAGuy and Chet.
Sorta like pre-determining the topic.
Also very Slashdot in that everyone gets to pitch their questions and the best x number get through and answered off the bat by the guest.

I think that's a great idea guys. You can start it this week if you want. Our guest will be the Brewmaster from Firestone Walker, Matt. We will be discussing hop chemistry, and he also brews an awesome helles/Lager if you want some tips about that. E-mail the questions to me and I'll prepare a special segment just for that.

Oz, make sure you save a question or two for stump the brewer. You can end up with a shirt from every guest that comes on.

good point Gucci, but to make it more fair, i think all the guests should just send me a prize anyway, that way others can have a fair go?

Ah, yes. Much like how the French paid a tribute to the Erik the Red of the Vikings, we must now pay a tribute to Oz. Well done! Just make sure they sign the shirts. Do you have enough wall space?
