What about a show discussing the various organizations available to homebrewers with representatives from them as guests.

I would also like to hear about homebrewing clubs and what others think about them.

What about some guests from some small East Coast breweries.

Being new here, I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed your shows. Vinnie touched upon some of the sour aspects of his belgians, during his show. I would like to hear an in-depth discussion on brettanomyces in beer... specifically in brewing Flemish red ales, berliner weisse, and lambics. What are the differences in brettanomyces and sour mix products from White Labs (when should each be used)? What is the proper way to store/age such a beer (are used barrels or new ones best)? What is the best place to obtain fruit (specifically, sour cherries) for these beers? Perhaps an extension of this could be how to use hops in lambics... how to age them properly, storage conditions, etc.

Different types of sparging. Fly Vs. Batch Vs. No Sparge. RIMS HERMS and all the fancy systems with pumps and crap.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

Have someone from Wyeast or White Labs on the show (I think someone mentioned this is already in the works for 2006). I heard a very interesting interview with Dave Logsdon from Wyeast. He touched on many topics that come up on the show frequently. Some of the things he covered from memory:

They did a study and heavy shaking of a carboy for 4 minutes worked better than an aquarium pump for oxygenation.

He talked in detail about the disadvantages of dry yeast.

Pitching on yeast cakes, washing yeast, starters, etc.

It was very interesting.

I'll throw in a second for another Jamil show. I've gotten the most out of the shows. It's nice to hear from someone is brewing batches at the same volume you are and for the most part using the same tools.

I would like to see a Oz and Ms. Moo Moo show. Hell, that's only way he's going to get his shirts. A paint pen? Come on, Justin, you can think of a better excuse than that. :P

Seriously, if we can do a guest via phone call, then what about a guest from Cooper's or the like. As an idea, Australian Day is on 26 Jan 06. We can review Oz's favorite beer, Victoria Bitter. Mmmm...better than vegemite.

I like every one of these ideas. We will be incorporating them into our 2006 lineup, you can be sure. And your ideas are really the best way for us to plan shows too, so that we know you're interested in the topics we're doing. So keep them coming please.

And Gucci's right, the pen is a lame excuse. lame...but true. BUt don't worry, by the time Oz does get his shirts, he'll have an entirely new wardrobe!
