I do agree that there is not a lot of "nuts and bolts" brewing information for new brewers on the broadcasts. There are a lot of tidbits for more more advanced brewers. I am not quite sure what they can do about that short of formally scheduling a portion of each program (or an entire program on an occasional basis) on basic brewing techniques.

That and a lot of crying and whimpering.:-)

I've listened to all of the basic brewing shows. I thought it was pretty good. I thought the guy did a really good job of getting information from his guests and I appreciated the tone of his voice.

I thought the worst show was when they got drunk in the garage. When it comes to getting drunk on the air, nobody can hold a candle to the brewcasters.
I hope my post helped in some way. If not, please feel free to contact me.

I listen to tall the BBR shows. I think they are pretty good. But, I am an avid runner so I run to all the beer shows I can download. But, TBN is the best show to run to. I find myself laughing out loud running down a back road. I am glad the only one to hear that is my dog. Just downloaded yesterday's show. 3 hours of great entertainment to fill boring running.
