At least your priorities are right..... food you can replace, beer doesn't like to get warm then cold again....

Well....I had this very problem last year....

Lost power, about 8 hrs....I took all of the food from the freezer and packe\d the kegerator with it....kept the beer cold, the food frozen enough...

My friends all know I always have beer on tap, and they are always willing to help me out in an emergency....we could properly dispose of the beer before it warms up if we were forced to.

If you were really a freak you would start pounding beer to keep it from going warm.

Just sayin'...

Is it a big issue if your kegs go warm?
Mother's in the kitchen washing out the jugs,
Sister's in the pantry bottling the suds,
Father's in the cellar mixing up the hops,
Johnny's on the front porch watching for the cops.

Not if it is something short term, like a power outage. I'd be concerned if they sat for a while (like over a day).

Then I guess it also depends on the beer...

Uh... Yeah, I have a dedicated generator for my fermentation and lagering fridges. You know, priorities?

SWMBO, was not amused. Still digging out from that one.
