I thought that the effects that most people felt when they tripped on Absinthe was from the drops of laudanum that they put on the sugar cube. At least that's what I heard on beershcool.com.

I had to take a class called "herbs and phytomedicinals" for my pharmacology degree.....although i called the class "placebos and friends".....anyway, they said that thujone was a hallucinogen.

You have to cut the drink down with sugar to a more normal alcohol content.
