anybody out there going out new years eve?

I have new years eve off but have to go to work at 6:30 new years day so i probably won't be celebrating other than sitting at home and maybe having a beer or two, might not even make it to midnight.

I don't have to go back to work until Thursday. However it is a 30 mile drive to anywhere I would want to party and I refuse to drive that with all the drunks out that night. I'll spend a quiet evening at home and probably hang out here for a while. On top of that I've probably got much better beer here.

This year I am doing something different. Dropping the kids off at their aunts house around 4pm and Vanna and I are heading to Shelly's Cottages just north of Lyons, CO. where we are going to meet up with Vanna #2. We are then going to go to Oskar Blues for a 4 course Cajun style dinner and obviously some wonderful hand crafted beers. Then we might stick around the brew-pub for some music or we might go back to the cottage and hang out in the private hot tub. Gotta love adults only resorts!

Eat your heart out Bub!

The club I usually go to is only six blocks around the corner so I can literally stumble home...and they have a free champagne toast at midnight...w00t!
Pri: Community Nudity Ale, Magician Red Ale, Berliner Weisse
Bottled: Paxton's Tripel and Dubbel, 400 Rabbits Ale, Cap'n Crunch Amber Oat Ale

Nope, with the new baby we are staying in.

When I was younger and single, I didn't like going out on NYE. When I would go out it was like amatuer night. People who didn't normally go out, would go out thinking this was going to be the be best night ever and that the start of the new year would be perfect for them. Then people would drink to much and they would be disappointed. There would always be some girl would be crying and some guy would always be looking for a fight. Then the whole driving thing, just wasn't worth it to me.
Mother's in the kitchen washing out the jugs,
Sister's in the pantry bottling the suds,
Father's in the cellar mixing up the hops,
Johnny's on the front porch watching for the cops.
