How many of you...

Fri Jan 12, 2007 9:52 am

See, today is one of those days where I don't want to be at work, I'm bored out of my skull and wish I had a kegerator in the office (Oh to work at TheBN! :pop ). Went to use the restroom and while following someone else in, heard him grab one of those silly toilet seat covers. I never knew anyone used them! Does anyone here see why the heck you should? I mean I've watched the advisory video of Bathroom etiquette in the men's room, etc...but that just doesn't cover using those silly pussy ass covers!

So, anyone here feel like owning up to usage? (Really am curious, don't see why the hell you need them, not like you can get something off of them...just wipe the seat down if you're really worried!)

Thinking back on some of the unsavory locations I've had to lay a loaf out on the white bowl, restrooms here in the States just don't worry me enough to use those things!

Cheers,
Greg

Ordinarily, I would agree with you.

The place where I deliver my beans uses a lot of immigrant labor. These people throw their used toilet paper on the floor because the sewer system in Mexico cannot handle the paper along with the poop. They do not know any better here so they throw the paper on the floor. I saw that and decided I could hold mine until I got somewhere else because there were also streaks on the seat.

I guess the main thing we are thankful for is visitng kin and friends who have a place to go inside the house. I know I haven't seen too many of those fancy seat covers in outhouses out around here.
Doesn't make me a bad person ? Does it?

I never use them 'cause I don't have them in my bathroom at home...

...and that is the only place I'll "go". I never drop the kids off at a public pool.

That's usually my rule too, just sometimes ya know, nature can call. Usually it's within 5 minutes of getting in the door that I'm playing a bowl game.

In some places south of the U.S. border they have open sewers.

I've seen a "sewer crew" or whatever they call them; just a bunch of guys on a truck that pulled up to where there was a blockage next to the street and they shoveled it out. The waste was backed up so much that it was running in the street and cars were tracking it everywhere.

The stench and the number of flies was amazing. Kids were playing on that same block like it was normal. Well, maybe because it was.

It is things like that that make me feel very fortunate to live here.

So I take it you have never walked behind a cow while they are going to the bathroom and they cough?
