Sat Oct 21, 2006 12:59 pm

After a few ideas my wife and I are looking at coming to the US in Sept 2007 ish.

We are looking to fly into Boston and hire a car and go to Cape Cod and up Maine to Portland.
I heard a rumour there are a few microbrew pubs in Portland is this true :D

I am interested in info from all you locals what really is the best time to go ????

a List of things we would like to do is

Baseball game
Ice hockey
Cape Cod
Whale Watching
Eat drink and be drunk (merry)

But we want loads of ideas to really enjoy this trip and the area to it fullest.

Adam, are you kidding me? Cape Cod to Portland, Maine? Look, if you want to hang out with Pres Bush #47 that's fine but if you want to have fun you got to go to the west coast. Whale watching? Look, us yanks are a little plump but that kinda talk will get you a meeting with a bunch of rednecks names like Sean Hagerty. I say visit the US in correct manner. Come out for the next TBN anniversary in June. The (real) whales and Oz will still be running off of the coast of California in Mendincino.

There is no good baseball unless you are talking about the Atlanta Braves or the San Francisco Giants. Forget the Tigers. They are a fluke. Shaun O'Sullivan, big melon and and all, will get you drunk and merry in San Francisco.

Cheers!

Note... Portland Maine may have some brewpubs... but the Portland with ALL the brewpubs is in Oregon.

Are you doing the, where a bunch of hicks kicked the redcoats ass tour?

The West Coast is nothing but hippies and whiny hollywood types. I mean, look at this guy's name: Gucci pilot. I bet he has a $200 pair of underwear.

Now, when you go to Boston, it's quite common to announce "Long Live the King George" upon entering a pub. either that or "Yankees Rule!"

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
