How to send beer to the UK?

Sun Jun 05, 2011 1:08 pm

So how does a west coast US brewery send their beer to bars in the UK?

It's a chain of specialty bars in the UK wanting a certain US beer.

Would they have to find a distributor for just one set of bars or could they do it by themselves?

Any info would be greatly appresciated!

You best bet would be to contact a distributor that is already in the business of shipping beer from Europe to the U.S.
I would recommend contacting Shelton Brothers. http://www.sheltonbrothers.com/ I've had contact with these guys over the years and know they bend over backwards to try to get people what they want. They would be some of the most knowledgeable about applicable shipping regulations and such for sending beers the other direction.

What would they want Anthrax for?

I don't think they like that shitty band there any more than we do here...

Try speaking to Phil Lowry at http://www.beermerchants.com/ for info from the UK end. He is well connected over here and brings loads of stuff in from the States.
