i give the guy the credit card info so he can hold the room for bug and mr h for the gabf thingy....not only does he take all the information but he charges me....i didn't think u could charge until after u stayed there?? WTF Is that all about??? ya'll told me that he would only hold the room...not charge me...so now we're screwed again...ugh...i swear we can't ever get ahead....not only was this gabf unplanned for mr h but i want him to go...its my own fault for pushing him to go for the experience...so we dont really have the money to go...like i said..MY OWN FAULT...but this hotels.com guy takes my cc info and charges me for the rooms....so now i'm OVERLY SCREWED!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! i fo sho can't win ...not today...not this week...not this month...something's gotta give?? of course it does but WHEN??? soon than later would be great but who knows....ugh i wonder how many hours at work i can steal from someone...HMMMMM....ugh i work 2 jobs already....oh well i gotta do what i gotta do for mr h to have fun and make bills work out...
sorry for this long ass post but i'm just rantin and ventin and i needed it...

Did they actually charge it or reserve the amount? Sometimes they just reserve the amount and if you used a debit it would take it out.

Sorry to hear Mrs. H! My wifey is nice enough to let me go to the GABF this year at the expense of her not going to Chicago with friends. Gotta love the wifes!

So you used the debit card, SHIT!! Yep, that reserve that amount but when it is a debit card it takes it. That sucks, tell Bug to send his share for the hotel now!!

o well my own fault...should have done this thursday after mr h got paid but i wanted to make sure they got a decent hotel pretty close to gabf....
its my own fault for trying to let my husband go to the gabf....so shoot me....

Not your fault, I just know because it happened to me. Except, the reserve maxed my credit card out and I couldn't use it for something else I needed, like gas!!

Hope I can have a beer with Mr. H at GABF.

With discount travel websites, this is really that common hotwire does the same...just becareful and read the the sites info before making the reservation is my recommendation.

I tend not to mind because then the only potential expense once I get to the hotel is extra service (bar frig or the like) and I don't have to calculate my spending money on a trip vs. what's in my bank account.
