I climbed a similar tower to about the 1600 foot level about 25 years ago to help change light bulbs. I was a hard core rock climber at the time, but this scared the shit out of me! I have nothing but respect for those guys that do that for a living. I'm not sure if they are brave or just bat shit crazy, but it is a job that has to be done.

I saw the wrench drop first hand, went right through 6" of concrete and into the dirt below. That's why the second guy on the tower wears a hard hat and those folks on the ground stay waaaaay back from the base of the tower.
