Thanks all!

Bub, why get it sealed? I will look into it... that may have to be a future upgrade.

you want it sealed so it doesn't get stained and it's easier to clean up if something liquid spills. Plus when you're brewing you can hose it down and it'll keep things from being kicked up into your brew. I wet down the floor around my brew stand before I brew, but it dries up because it's not sealed.

Yep Bub and Beer_bear are right.

Once you have poured your beer on to a non sealed floor it disappears into it, stains and looks orrible.
You get it sealed and it sits in a nice pool on top waiting for a visit from the mop. The beauty is after you have mopped it there is no evidence left for the new wife to beat you up about.

Congrats on new wife and the brew house.

Alright, I will be looking into getting it sealed. Maybe this is something I can do so I don't have to pay the builder.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thirsty, You can save a bunch of money by doing it yourself.

H & C Concrete stain is really good for garage floors. It's available at Sherwin Williams.

Just wash the floor really well. use hot water and TSP, or a TSP substitute.
Let it dry for several days. Use a roller and apply 2-3 coats of stain.

I specificly mentioned EPOXY sealer/coater.
You can do it yourself and shouldn't run you too much. It rolls on like paint.
