The brew coop is coming along. We got a little break in the weather so Milt and me have put some time in on it. The framing is done and the floor drain works now. It's just stubbed out until we can dig a little easier. The insulation is done and part of the drywall is done. Milt got a deal at an auction. It's one of those heater/air conditioner things like they have in motel rooms. He got it for $50 and it runs off 110. It should do the trick.

The bus has been pushed to the back burner. The Mrs does not think she is cut out for living in an RV. She might be right. Besides if this coaching thing takes off we will not be leaving for the winters. At least for the next year or two anyway.

I carbo-loaded and celebrated a little too hard last night. You know what though? I have noticed many times that hangovers with my homemade beer are not near as bad as with storebought beer. Has anybody else noticed this? I still feel like poop this morning.

The hangover helper is the yeast in the beer. Since your beer is unfilterd you get the benefits of all those wonderful vitamins.

I like being able to function the next morning. Function as well as I function anyway.

I agree Mort
Its nice that you know exactly what you are drinking

Its also another good excuse to brew more
This weekend I will be doing a lager and a Marzen Oktoberfest beer for the BBQ season
A lot more fun than buying some cheap, bubbly & yellow piss from the store

Just wish I could raise my own cattle like you so it was all home grown/made

Raising the majority of your own food has its advangages that is true. It also ties you down a lot. I would have been in trouble this year if not for Milt being able to come out and take care of things for me. Even then it makes a hardship on him but he is out here a lot anyway. We do not buy much at the store. Just your staples like sugar, coffee, paper products and some bread. We trade with a neighbor for milk and butter. We make our own flour and bake a good chunk of our bread needs from that. Springtime through Fall is hectic because beside our farming enterprise we raise a huge garden that we can a lot of our food from and sell a lot of produce from. We get help from family that we share with but we have a good stock of food on hand year around. Where we are you almost have to because you never know when you will get a big storm and cannot get to town.

Well I read it all, and then some, I want to be the first one to buy a ticket to see Ole Mort rolling around on the mat. Don't get me wrong Mort Looks like he could be a tough ole bird, but wrestling? I know, I know you will be like an assistant coach. Be careful they might just be trying to replace a defective punching bag. Instead of loading up on carbs you might want to load up on steriods. I hear Stallone has access to a good source.
Doesn't make me a bad person ? Does it?

Its just a foolish dream I have
Stems from sitting in an office environment all day

The hard work and commitment sounds good and more enjoyable, when I am staring at a PC all day!
Lots of fresh air and all that
