Anyone here around the area know of any good brewpubs to hit if I get time while down there?

I'll be interested to hear too. We are planning to drive through Nashville in June and will no doubt need a break.

I think Meister is from those parts, isn't he?

Congrats on the new gig, you may get a hold of some great brews at the company's expense, gotta love it!

He's probably a few years away from knowing any good brewpubs though

Yazoo Brewing is in Nashville. A little tough to find but they have decent brew. Limited Tap Room hours but they are there Friday and Saturday I think. You can find it on tap and in bottle at pretty much any decent local bar.

Blackstone is a good brewpub. Smack in West End off of Downtown and easy to find. Little higher end on the food but worth it for one meal.

Boscos is another Brewpub in the Westend area near Vanderbilt University. they do some decent brew and I think they do a cask night on Thursdays. Beer engine and all.

For just bar hopping there is the Flying Saucer off of downtown. Massive tap selection, big bottle selection, waiters in little plaid skirts and knee socks. Outer lounge area with couches and picnic tables. Pool tables and darts.

There is also the Beer Cellar and a couple other large tap selection bars around town.

If you will be working at the Nashville SuperSpeedway when you are out here I am about 15 minutes from there. I work nights and close to 60 hours a week but if you have free time on a Saturday or Sunday I will buy you a beer.

This goes for anyone, PM me if you are headed to Nashville and I will get my number to you.

training for the job thursday, drug test today, yippee. But when it comes to working with guys who are in the air 100ft or more sometimes, i would rather not work witha bunch of crackheads.

Now i just need to figure out how i can brew in the hotel room, sonce we can be deployed as long as a month sometimes
