Typically I don't drink during the week either, because of my triathlon training.

But tonight I made an exception... watching Beer Wars made me crave a beer (more than usual).

I'm enjoying a Rahr's Winter Warmer. Think I'm going to open a Midas Touch (aged 2 years) after this.

Tonight it is some Back Hills Home Remedy (Bourbon). Great stuff if you can get you hands on it. It comes from a super small, ultra limited production distillery.

How was it? I had a 2 year old Weizenbock last weekend that didn't age too well, so I'm curious how an Imperial Weizenbock holds up...

Fantastically malty, lots of maple and raisin... the hot alcohol it had when it was young aged out, as well as this odd musty wine flavor it got from the champagne yeast that I finished it with (used White Labs 380 initially).
