Hmm... that may be the trick! At the triathlons they always try to be cute and offer everyone free Michelob Ultra. Needless to say I'm not sprinting my way to the finish for the beer.

I'm just heading out of the office for the day, and probably wont be back in the Forums until after the race.

Thanks for the well wishes, and the humor. Have a great weekend all!!!

I'll bring a report of the race next week (or when I get out of intensive care...) :)

Good news! I didn't die!!!

:D

I didn't die, or get hurt. I finished all 40 miles without walking the bike up any of the hills. I finished in 3 hours, 07 minutes, 02 seconds. I don't know where I finished in my age group, I didn't stay around for the awards, because I knew I wasn't 1, 2, or 3.

The Home Brew at teh end tasted oh so delicious!!!

But, I feel good today (relatively). Everything is sore, and I'm finally regaining feeling in my ass and nether-regions...

The Black Fly Challenge was true to its namesake. I was eaten alive!!! I counted over 80 bites when I got home last night. I look like I've got freakin' small pox or something.

And this story will entertain you all, I'm sure! I was listening to last weeks show in teh car on teh way up into the adirondacks, and had just listened to one of the breaks before I got there. So, for the entire race (I mean the ENTIRE 40 MILES) I had the Dirty Sanchez song stuck in a loop in my head.

"I want to give you a dirty sanchez, I want to throw you a donkey punch..."

Oh, and I'll post a picture later of me at the end of the race, with my BN Army shirt and homebrew in hand!!!

Thanks for the well wishes guys!!! I hope that all of you that went to the anniversary party fared at least as well as me!!!

EDIT: corrected finishing time

Congrats! Time to toot your horn, err, play your rusty trombone!!!

Yeah, that song gets stuck in your head, doesn't it????
I once wasted about 2 hours stopping and starting that song and looking up the phrases in the urban dictionary one phrase at a time. Many of them were in there, but some were not. All I can say is that is some seriously twisted shit. Oh, and DON'T do that at work.
