Got one this year as well. Just a blast to play and super easy for the newbie. I'm not a big gamer and my last console was the N64. I don't think they'll compete with the other consoles, but I think they hit the mark on what they were going for.

and I thought I wasn't getting enough sleep before...

We have had a Wii for a few months now, and we got a ton of new games for Christmas. The kids love it, and it was a great hit at the Christmas party, we even got the grandparents doing Dance Dance Revolution!

I was playing this with my kids yesterday. It's a blast. It was really funny watching my 9 yr old knock out her older sister in boxing.

Speaking of Wii Boxing.... Maybe I'll lose some weight off my fat ass if I spend some time playing the boxing. What a workout that game is!

The only suggestion of set up I have is to put the sensor bar below the screen and not on top of the the tv. It seems to have better response.

The Wii is fun. My son has a 360 and PS2 and still plays the Wii as much as the 360. I love the Wii FPS's, almost as good as playing on the computer, better than the Xbox/PS controllers. We do need to get more company-friendly games.

And still play Sports 2-3x/week after almost a year of having it.

I have had mine for 8 or 9 months now and I love the thing. Just wish I had more time to play it.

Setting up is easy, unless you are my father in law, who moved his from upstairs to the downstairs for christmas and couldn't figure out why the controller didn't work. My brother in law jumped up because he thought he could be usefull and save the day. After 20 minutes of waiving the controller, changing batteries and the sister in law trying to jump in and fix it (yes serious Cluster F), I asked if they plugged in the sensor. Freaking morons.
Mother's in the kitchen washing out the jugs,
Sister's in the pantry bottling the suds,
Father's in the cellar mixing up the hops,
Johnny's on the front porch watching for the cops.

I have had one for almost a year now and still love it. The sports game never gets old. Try the fitness test on the sports game. It is funny the first few times most peoples Wii age is around 50-70.

Set it up for Wifi access. They have a new Mii Channel that lets you download Mii's and create one weekly to enter in a contest. I downloaded Ice Cube last night.

Sports is the best game so far but I am really liking Super Mario Galaxy. Not a huge Mario series fan or gaming fan in general but I am hooked on the Wii.

We loved Rayman Raving Rabbids, and for Christmas we bought Raving Rabbids 2. Both are excellent games.
