Yeah, not like back in the "Hay Day" though. I have a 200 disc CD changer in the brewhouse. Mostly filled w/ live Dead music. Great to brew by BTW!

I have a few hundred hours on tape too. (most of my collection)

2DOG! Thanks for offering your time on such a big job! I would love to have my "Old School" library updated!!! Damn you're cool...

That's the way it was done back then, AND WE LIKED IT!!!
These are all live recordings, some dating back to 1969.

All right, just send me all of the originals you have first, then the copies. I'll get them up on eBa... I mean saved to my hard drive in Mp3s for you... now the system... the first check should be around $10,000 so I can buy some of the components.

Seriously Doc, I'm old enough that I too have recordings that date that far back and some of them were recorded by me. I don't have the collection you have though.

I have a friend however that has a collection like that and it takes up an entire wall in his house.

If I lived by you Doc I would happily help you get that digitized.

You got a love a guy with a Hummer and original Dead recordings. It's just like back in the day with the Dead Heads showing up for the show in the big Cadilacs.

Later,

Rob

I see you recognize the enormity of this undertaking... Time is not on my side. I have a couple of friends too that put my library to shame.

Yeah, I remember those "Trustafarians" at the shows w/ nice rides! Funny how my beat-up '69 VW camper van morphed into an H2. It took a while!

Unless you taped them yourself, I wonder if a bunch of those shows are already online and cleaned up by someone else. You should check some of the torrent sites, might save you time and effort converting them.

I'm sure that's the case. Quite a few are Early generation soundboard, but still could be cleaned up. I really had no plans on converting them. More nostalgia than anything else. I was just giving 2dog a little shit. I'll check out those sites, got one in mind?

Hey Doc since you have this manuevar under your belt. How about "morphing" by 76 Westy into H2 now?
