Video of Tornado forming, just over my house

So what you see in the above video is a wall cloud forming about 1-2 blocks from my house, this thing took out shitloads of trees, I don't think it actually turned into a tornado though.... wife was crapping herself in basement with kids while I was driving home. I don't blame her! (Although I would have been crapping myself outside filming while she yelled at me to get inside)
Yes I'm an asshat :asshat:

That's some crazy shit. We've had that stuff for a few weeks now and I don't wish it on anyone. Several times it has been at night which makes it even worse. Glad everyone is ok. Just keep the pillows and bike helments close for the next few months; this shit seems like it will stick around for a while. :(

Bitchin' wall cloud, and great video too!

Unfortunately we get to see that shit around here all too often. As far as I know our town still holds the record for the largest tornado, although I can't remember if it is strictly the size, wind speed, or a combination. It pushed the F scale off the chart and helped push the need for a new and improved scale.

Anyway, the tornado season this year was relatively mild but the straight-line winds the past week or so have been kicking our asses. Today it calmed down a bit, but yesterday it was snapping trees, power lines, and ripping roofs off, which I suppose is nearly as bad as having a tornado plow through.

Got to love Oklahoma,
:)

My wife has a big fear of the wind being from the midwest (St Loius) and I can now see why - that shit is scary!

thats pretty awesome. Lake michigan kinda calms everything down before anything gets to us, so we just get nasty winds.
At first when I heard the siren i thought it was the opening to Cake's "short skirt and long jacket. I was waiting for the base line but nothing.
pretty wild bub, pretty cool.
