Secret Uncle Sam

Mon Mar 06, 2006 4:13 am

So Henning came up with a great idea, and he said he was gonna post about it. But since he is a drunk A-Hole I guess he forgot, so here goes.

What do y'all think about having a "secret santa" style homebrew trade.
Everyone who signs up goes into a pot, draws a name and sends that person a couple bottles of brew. Doesn't have to be all that secret even. Henning was thinking of doing this for christmas but I was thinking... why wait? Christmas in July!!! We could do this 2x per year. Give your oppinions as I'm sure you will.

I guess this would be CONUS only? I don't think you can legaly ship beer to other countries. I know it's not really legal inside the country, but I don't have to fill out a customs form for that either.

I would be game tho.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

Or set it up by region. Have several different swaps going at the same time.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I am still new to homebrewing so I do not have much beer to trade. Could we include commercial craft beers other people can't get?
