If I could only go to two places in the Metro area, it would probably be Golden City (great beer, great bare bones atmosphere) and Great Divide on a day when they have a cask on, and maybe a tour.

what time of year did you go?

a lot of times those butter bombers - the nearby state of maine falls into it a lot - happen when the brewery is rushing production for tourist season

I'm a Denverite! Avery is definitely worth the trip to Boulder. There are other reasons as well... Falling Rock is more or less a required stop. I haven't actually been to Great Divide, but I hear it's excellent. There are a few other Denver area folks around -- do I smell a BN "platoon meeting"?

Let me know.

Not from Denver, but love the area and would say you can't go too wrong anywhere you stop. My favorite for food and beer is Breckenridge, right across from the ball park. The small batch IPA is great. Also, if you can make it to Ft. Collins check out O'Dells or New Belgium. Both are great breweries with great beer.

Damn, I'm jealous; it's been 2 years since I've been able to make it up there. Hope you enjoy it.

I still use beermapping.com as my "go to" source. It has everything on pubquest.com plus a lot more ... Sometimes I just want to know where the nearest beer bar or beer store is.

As a prime example ... I was in New York City a couple weeks ago and had I only used pubquest.com I would have missed a great craft beer bar (http://blindtigeralehouse.com/) and one of the best beer/cheese/chocolate stores I've ever seen (http://www.bierkraft.com/).

Besides ... pubquest.com doesn't work on my crackberry!
