I just recently bought some of the Corona in a can and noticed that there is a difference. I found it to be really sweet and not skunky at all. It was actually not too bad. I won't buy it again though. It's still not my kind of swill.

Maybe this was just a rumor and it has been a long time since I have had corona in a can (since back when I thought that it was good imported beer), but I thought that I recalled it still having the light-struck taste even when drinking the canned version.

I had heard that too, this was definitely not skunked though. It was very similar to to a domestic light lager.

On a plane flight recently, the choice was between Butt, Butt Light, and Hiney (all cans). I reluctantly went for the Hiney (first one in proabaly 8 yrs), and was surprised at how sweet this beer tasted, totally lacking in hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. I guess I was surprised to learn that ALL the flavor in Heineken IS the skunk. Then again, I guess I shouldn't have been.
