ignorant beer drinkers

I am so pissed at how many "beer exerts" there are in the world who obviously know nothing about beer....
I work in a local brew pub and i had this lady tell me that the beer i poured had too much head (if it was 1/4 in i would be surprised) and then told me that I should be placing the glass up against the faucet actually touching and it wont foam problems, and i need to not be afraid to stick the "tap" into the beer.
I understand that customers want to feel like they are getting the best product and served properly but be educated people if you are going to say something.

Did they tip you well? If so, great. If not, fuck 'em.
Explain that it is against policy and general common sense. :jnj

It doesn't matter what industry you work in, but there is nothing more annoying than an under-educated customer trying to tell you how to do your job. The only bad thing about the situation is that you can't really say anything to her because it would make her feel stupid and will likely cause you to lose a customer. I would probably keep feeding her beers and let her loosen up a bit, then explain the basics of beer head retention.

If you want good tips... then the customer is always right. Pour her beers the stupid way, and pour everyone else's the way you think is right.
