Anybody Have some Kefir Grains?

Mon Oct 11, 2010 4:44 pm

Anybody have an active Kefir Grains culture they'd be willing to share? Mine died from neglect a couple of years ago and I'd like to get some going again. I have a new local source for organic, non-homogenized milk.

Make your own.
Al you need is
Fresh raw milk
And ant nest
Some cheese cloth
That's it.

Dig up the ant nest collect the eggs, heat some milk, mush the ant eggs in the cheese cloth, strain the milk through it. Give it a few days and VIOLA you have kiefer or yogurt depending on the ants.
HEY~!! It's a hobby~!! It's NOT supposed to make sense~!!
