God Will Song

Tue Sep 19, 2006 11:23 pm

When I first heard this song I went into a deep belly beer belching laugh and damn near passed out. Now thats what I'm talking about, the lighter side of religion. Thanks for posting the song.

I could burn a copy and mail it if you want...

The name of the song is "Alice" I have a version by Jimmy Sturr that I downloaded off of ITunes. The chorus part is "Alice? Who the hell is Alice?". Some people say Fuck instead of Hell. WTF Over!

Mr. Big, The reason that people say "Who the fuck is Alice?" is because that's the way it goes in the version that Smokie sang. I could send that version to you if you want to hear it too. :) I guess Smokie was a band back in the early to mid 70's. It's not a bad version.

nope, it's a smokie song. it wasn't that way originally, it was just whenever it got played the audience all sang/shouted it as a chorus and it stuck so the band went along with it.

Just in case anybody wanted to know the source of the song in the title of this thread, it's "The Hand of the Almighty" by John R. Butler. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/johnrbutler
