Trouble getting the live stream and chat to work ...

Fri Oct 23, 2009 11:01 pm

I may me an idiot, but in the time it took me to listen to the podcasts from sunday session show #1 to the conical give-away 12/07, I had a heck of a time figuring out why I could not get the chat or the live stream to work. I kept getting a blank screen on the chat and a "timed-out" message on winamp.

Answer: My wireless router was blocking the BN automaticaly without any notification.

Solution: I logged into my wireless router and set the logs to track any blocked transmittions. With that information, I was able to make exeptions for the BN and the abacast connections ... now everything works.

I post this merely because I was not able to find this information on the forum and finaly spent a day figuring it out. The only problem with this is that I may now be a contender for "DOTW" ... I'll try to hide my phone before I brew on Sudays.
