I only caught the first part of yesterday's episode about the topic of homebrew clubs, but as a member of QUAFF, I can easily say: don't change it.

Both clubs were pretty evenly split in points, as it came down to the 2nd round to see who would come out on top. If the BN club splits into two, QUAFF would easily overpower both until another club grows in size to compete or one of the BN clubs grows enough again to try to compete.

I think this years 2nd round results were enough to show that everyone around the country is brewing better and better beer. No area of the country is dominating and I'm sure in the future it'll be even more spread out.

I say keep the competition between the BN and QUAFF (it's pretty fun for at least us, I'm sure the BN guys are loving it too) and let's see where it goes. There are a lot of clubs growing in size and without a doubt a few years from now we'll have 1 or 2 more clubs added competing for the top spot.

***begins slow clap***

Agreed, without the BN there would maybe be one other club besides QUAFF. You'd think other clubs would get organized and brew better/more beers to enter. My club has 90 members if we all submitted I be we'd have a shot.

The only point I'll add is I can see why Justin would think about separating the Brewing Network business and the club. The Brewing Network is a business and depends on monthly donations, merchandise, events, etc... for profit. When you have this overwhelming negative publicity it has to have an effect on the company itself. I live in Shepherdstown, WV and the closest club to me is 45 minutes away which is why I've always used the BN as my club, but if it's going to impact the business I'm all for separating it as much as I hate to say that. I think its a discussion worth having and come up with a way to keep a club going that's associated with the BN, but not the BN itself. Hopefully the AHA changes some rules and everyone is happy again.

That can be rule #2...Rule #1 is always "Don't be a dick!" (actually created here on the forum before Wil Wheaton).

Rename the Club: "BNArmy (Not the Brewing Network so fuck off haters)". Wouldn't it be awesome to see that up on the screen?

It's what I've been entering mine as. BN Army! Brewing Network is a company not a club. The BN Army are the customers of the company

JP

Quiting is a passive aggressive response to aggressive douche baggage. Don't do it

Splitting the BN is bad idea, I don't want to compete against my fellow soldiers

The best response is to ignore the douche baggage and bring our A game.

BN Army not Brewing Network! The name should describe what it is. Have the BN Army accept the awards from now on. Let them boo people they are sitting with instead of some celebrity they don't have the balls to talk to in person.
