Yes. I did several side-by-side tests with an adjustment spreadsheet and my hydrometer to make sure they lined up before relying solely on the refractometer. The "actual" reading on the refractometer was 8.2% Brix (or 1.032), but the spread-sheet adjustment (based on starting gravity) corrects for alcohol down to 1.007.

I tasted it this morning, and when I pulled it from the keg, it had a nice creamy head like a cask-conditioned beer (which it technically is since I use 5L party kegs). It tasted great. Still clean, but not as dry as the uncarbed version! I think the carbonation added some body to it (which caught me off guard). It's been five weeks since I pitched, and without any off flavors (no kerosene or plasticky tastes), I think I may be good. I have a second keg that won't get tapped for at least another month, and if I get any off flavors there, I'll update you.

Thanks, everyone, for setting my mind at ease. My first infected beer tasted SO bad, and I suffered through ALL of it. I'm very skittish about my numbers not turning out.
