I made my first really good beer. And I am proud.
I have invested tons more money (than I had previously), and researched much more. And it payed off!
It is based around some glacier, cascade, and ummmm a mystery hop (I forgot the hop).
It is a light bodied, high a.c. beer. It's clocking in around a .013...But comes off a semi-dark color, with a medium amount of caramel grains...
I'm assuming, but never bothered to get a OG, that the beer is around 7 percent AC.
Stylistically it's an all American Pale or IPA. (hoppy like a ipa but light like a pale)...I used a wyest american yeast, and it gave it some semi fruity notes but awkwardly enough pairs well with the strong hop profile.
the hop flavor lingers....VERY nice....
drinking one of these guys is always a punch in the face...
but always makes me want to go back for more.
