True, but you don't have to stir it vi-gor-oso-ly. You just want to get the beer to move a little bit. I'm not trying to make another whirlpool or anything. Just enough that the sugar is forced to move in the beer. No bubbles is the rule for me there.

i do a lot of things vi-gor-oso-ly, but transfering to my bottling bucket is not one of them. like everyone else, i've never stirred just added the beer on top of the sugar solution in the bucket. the natural swirling has always done the trick

From the sound of it, he didn't rack on top of the sugar solution. I'm no chemist, so does anyone know how well the sugar solution equilibriates (I'm pretty sure that's a word) if you forget to stir?

I rack onto the sugar and a little stir just for a good measure.

Re: Primming Solutin not stirred

The racking tube was on the bottom of the bottling bucket while I transferred which gave it a bit of swirling. Also when I lifted the bottling bucket from the floor to the counter this gave it a bit of agitation.
After bottling I noticed only a bit of sediment at the bottom, but no sugary type solution.
Should I just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best?
Any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated.

FYI, 15 days after bottling I sampled 3 random bottles and all came out great. Each bottle got about a 3" tan head with decent retention and left nice lacing. As Doc would say " Freakin Out"

:D :D Patience is a virtue. I guess it also helps with carbonation. Congrats on the good results.
