Check out plastic-mart.com you can get a 15 gallon plastic conical with a stand for $170 shipping included in that you provide the valves, I have not fermented in it yet, it looks and feels like a quality product and I was turned on to it by a local micro brewery who ferments ale there ale in them check it out what a great price compared to elsewhere.

Fermenting in Half Barrels by SteveM, October 08, 2009
Hello, first off; good general sho!

Did I miss the part about fermenting in half barrels? What do you guys think of removing the spear and using stainless hb's as basically a large carboy?
