The Session talks to the French about beer!

This week on The Session we do a show that would have been pointless only a short time ago. But with the rise of homebrewing and craft beer around the world in recent years, there is nary a place on the map without a beer scene and France is no exception. This week we sample French craft beer and speak to the newest startup in Paris; it's first American influenced Micro Brewery. Photos of the topics and places discussed are available at facebook.com/brewingnetwork as we  showcase some the breweries and beer shops, as well as some pretty unique homebrew that prove how necessity sparks invention.

Why does it bother you so much, Lowly rated comment [Show]
What a bunch of jealous douche nozzles by Bobby, July 20, 2009
Justin and the lot, you just pissed away any credibility you have created online and at AHA conferences with this show with your jealous tirade over the I Am a Homebrewer video. You dickwads really must be threatened with it and cannot deal with the fact that you did not think to do it first. Even Greg Koch and Charlie Papazian thought it was great, yet you pusswads have to piss and moan like douches with a bad case of MPH (My Pussy Hurts).

Get over it and embrace it or shut the fuck up.

Apparently no one can have an opinion anymore. Who do we contact to have that pesky Freedom of Speech removed from the Constitution?

That hit a nerve by code, July 23, 2009
It is interesting to me that those who want to stifle free speech come here to speak freely.
Expressing an opinion is not a crime. Here are some of mine:

Andrew Davis: "Id rather watch that video 20 times than listen to you guys jerk off on tape for half an hour." Does your "tape" player have a fast-forward function? Justin has freedom of speech and you have "freedom of listen". Why not exercise it?

Bobby: "Get over it and embrace it or shut the fuck up." So it is your way or none? Classy.

The Pol: Thank you for expressing your opinion.
You say, "stop knocking the video", as if you have some authority to request it.

Phischy: Sorry, goodbye.

Scooby Brew: "I am going to delete this website from my 'Favorets'." Good luck finding that. Oh, and bye.

Jeff: Amen, brotha.

Truth is, I'd buy you all a beer.

give me a break by john, July 23, 2009
There is nothing wrong with corn or rice; try it! there are many reasons to use corn, rice, beet sugar and many other adjuncts, not all of which are bad.

The brewcasters are right on - the video is awful and of poor quality. The 'I am a Craft Brewer' video is just as ridiculous, just better quality. Because its subject is something we all love does not mean its above criticism. Question everything.

wow, what the hell? by A dog, July 23, 2009
It's a wantabe high school project video. It sucks and no one should give a fuck. The video is completely retarded. Basically if you don't like the video, you are a bad home brewer. Really? I don't remember when home brewing became socialized. Fuck you, you little socialist fucks.

Lighten up Francis!!! by HomerWis, July 24, 2009
Do the first few commentors listen to the Brewing Network regularly? If they did, they'd know they make fun of everybody and everything...including themselves the most. That's half the fun. Lighten up out there and don't get so offended with people that disagree with you that you would lobby for them to be shut down by encouraging others to never listen again like yourself. Kind of makes you to be an insecure Fascist. The video was a nice effort, but amateur and word for word from the craft beer video. The whole point of their criticism I think...and fair. It still made me want to get a beer and plan my next brew, so mission accomplished to the creators. Cheers.

Had to weigh in since it came up. by the way, the shows here suck., August 04, 2009
I gotta tell you, the shows you release are part of a very unsustainable business plan. Your "inside joke" banter and hubris attitudes towards conventional and more relaxed brewing do nothing but decrease your customer base and segregate "thebrewingnetwork". This community is a real bag of dicks.

BN for life? Jesus Christ, that is hardcore Bro. You fucking tool, go make a hot pocket.

I found the video to be poorly done and having a sense of humor do not have a problem with "ripping" on it. Lighten up and follow Charlie's age old advise. smilies/kiss.gif

If America OnLine did a brewing show... by moving on, August 14, 2009
If America Online did a brewing show it would be this program!!!
Crap talking about crap and then laughing at how brown the turd is?

A conversation with the drunk guy at the pub provides a more coherent and interesting flow of topics. Are you guys still in High School or what? *meh*

Really? by Jaeger, August 18, 2009
Are people that upset over criticism over a poor video that in the grand scheme doesn't amount to 2 shits?

The BN does a great job of blending ass-hattery and beer information. HBT has just as much off-topic BS as the BN so people ripping on that doesn't make sense to me.

You really should get to the point by Dave, February 05, 2010
I do have to agree with the folks who said that getting to the point would improve the show. I listened for almost an hour, waiting to hear something about French craft beer. Nope, just a bunch of, at best, only mildly funny geeking around. I turned it off. The Jamil Show and Brew Strong are great, but this show is a loser.
