Chemistry Show Take III

Mon Jan 15, 2007 12:20 pm

OK, no one else did it, so I will.

Last nights show was FULL of info. I was concerned when they anounced no guest and no help, but Justin STEPPED up!! Lots of info was put out. Next time maybe slow down a bit and give us some time to absorb the info, but damned man, good stuff!!

Thanks for the great show.

But as always, Daniela was the real star of the show.

I listed to the show this morning while I was working. Then, on my lunch break I just so happened to pick up Designing Great Beers and read pages 24 through 27. Justin must have gotten a copy for Christmas.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the show and the information was helpful to me in planning the sugar additions to a couple of future brew ideas (Plant City [Strawberry] Pils anyone?).

Not since the Water Chemistry show has my brain been so addled by chemistry. I also have the proud tradition of coming within an inch of failing every chemistry class I ever took.

Please sue me next!

Goober, that was Dr Scott's copy of DGB. Justin is too cheap to get his own.

I too really enjoyed the show. I think there was more brewing information in that one show than in all the shows in the last 3 months combined. This is one of those shows where it would be nice to have a written transcript of the major points of the show posted on the forum for ready reference. I certainly don't have the time to do it, but it sure would be nice to see. Listening through a 3+ hour podcast to check a piece of data is a bit much.

Good work Justin!

If someone were to write an article and perhaps post it on the wikipedia page that would be really cool.... someone out there has to have the time available.

Hey Bub, I got plenty of time, but my home computer broke can you send me a replacement and I'll be happy to write it up

More seriously, I may be able to help soon, I have a buddy doing tech support on getting me back online at home.

Great Info Justin!

Look Man! I've been teaching chemistry, Bio and Physics for 11 years and Justin did a top notch job! It is almost impossible to make saccharide chemistry concrete since we cannot see it. EXCELLENT! The way he dumbed it down for everybody is awesome. I have to do that every day and it isn't easy.
