No, not Oetiker clamps. use Stainelss worm gear if you want to be able to remove easier. I am fortunate having access to so many QD's. Our barb profile does not need clamping. Nice to take on and off so easlily.

I've been using snap grip hose clamps for a while now . There easy to instal and remove, cheap to buy and don't tear silicone as easily like the stainless clamps . I'm not saying its better but worth a consideration

I went a different direction. I returned the blichmann QDs. I bought two inexpensive ball values and four male plastic QDs. I screwed the ball values onto the in and out on the pump. Screwed the male plastic QDs into the ball values. I added a male QD on each side of the silicone tubing. I am brewing tomorrow, so if it works out I will take some pictures and list all of the parts in case someone else wants the info.

The new setup works great. I bought a ball valve for the in and out. The quick disconnects do not leak. Brewing with a non-leaking pump is pretty great.
