Yeah, I don't think that there were any main bine in there, just sidearms as you mentioned... Just hopeful of snagging a cutting I could grow up into Amarillo, Simcoe or Citra...

It's just a varietal thing. That's what Centennial does compared to Cascade. By the way, you've got your own neighborhood hop research program in Vermont: http://www.uvm.edu/extension/cropsoil/hops

No offense to you and Afterlab, but I live an hour and a half away. A trip to St. Paul for a beer might be OK if I still lived in St. Paul. But thanks.

Welcome to the site........My Centennials are doing just fine! ;) and I am growing them sideways but should still get a decent crop from my 1 year hop crown. Wish I had the room to let them grow up...

Very cool to have a hop expert...Which U of M are you at too be an hour and a half away?
