First Post From LI NY

Joined the forum a few months back, but I'm lazy so just getting around to introducing myself. From Long Island, NY. Had brewed a few extract batches with friends over the past couple of years, but took a break while I started piecing together an all-grain setup (guess i caught the bug a bit harder than the rest). Logged a good deal of time in the archives, and spent the first bit of summer building a couple of mash tuns, wort chiller, and wiring a love controller for a fermenting fridge.

This past weekend dry-hopped a low(ish) gravity pale w/ citra/amarillo and pitched an american brown on the cake, which is now happily fermenting, as my first and second all-grain batches, respectively.

Still have a lot to learn, but I already hate you all because I see the dents coming to my paychecks as I start to learn about kegging, and every one of you is driving me to it...

Happy Fermentings,
Fist

Does one have to be a Fistwizard to be able to get a Love Controller? Do they carry them at any of the BN sponsors?

excuse me for being vague:

The 'love controller' is of my own design, to ensure a little bit of my heart goes into each batch. coincidentally I also wired a dwyer instrument dual stage temperature controller. that was direct from their website, but to cover my ass I did place a bulk order from morebeer.

There are several different hoembrew clubs in the area. LIFE and LIBME on the Island. As well as several in the City and Brooklyn. They are really good to connect locally with people in the area.

However, I think you can find much more and faster information using this forum.

Cheers and enjoy the :asshat:
