sorry, I didn´t understand what "blowing the carboy cap" means. When I rack, I always suck up on the tubing so to get the wort to fall by gravity in my secondary.

What´s the alternative? I heard that filling the tube with water and holding one end with your tumb might help ( so you woundn´t need to put your mouth in there..)

Instead of sucking to start the siphon (insert Lunch Meat joke here) you blow into the sealed carboy via another inlet tube, thereby pushing the beer through the tube rather than siphoning, per se.
