Oberon Yeast trade/sale? Chicago 'burbs

Wed Aug 11, 2010 2:52 pm

I cultured Bell's Oberon yeast and brewed a few weeks ago, kegged and washed the yeast on Friday. There's a ton of yeast here...anyone interested in any?
I'm not looking to sell (just cover shipping) or a trade. Would prefer locals to avoid shipping in this ridiculous heat.

I'll probably brew another batch but that still leaves me plenty to share. Yeast took me from 1.050 to 1.009.

Let me know if there's any interest.

Thanks,
Mike

I don't have much to trade...

Homegrown cascades
Nottingham packets (from the recalled ones I returned)
Catnip

Which burbs we talkin about here, Joliet? Evanston?

Sweet, I'm in Wheaton/Aurora/Warrenville. Saturday I'll be harvesting some in the morning and brewing the rest of the day in Aurora. PM on the way.

What's the Oberon yeast good at doing? Is it the same one they use for Two Hearted?

I am not local, but live fairly close (Cedar Rapids, IA). I would love some if you change your mind and are willing to ship.
