Thanks for asking! Actually doing really well. My oncologist spoke with the heads of oncology at the Mayo Clinic and Memorial Sloan-Kettering in NYC and they both liked what we were doing for treatment and said they wouldn't change a thing. The CEA protein count (protein that tumors produce, used to measure progress thru blood samples) went from a 26 to 24 after one round of chemo. Progress is always good! Chemo week sucks as one might expect, but the symptoms only last 4-5 days, then I'm back to normal. My white blood cell count is consistently hovering around 7.5-8, which is good. Even had enough energy to brew twice in the last 3 weeks. Made an ordinary bitter 2 weeks ago and I'm brewing up an Oyster Stout as I type this. It's about 30 mins into the boil. Should be tasty! I'm shifting my focus to low gravity beers since I'm supposed to limit myself to 1-2 beers a day. I figure my liver has been thru enough lately, probably don't need to be taking down any Imperial Stouts or Barleywines. Thanks to all who have been sending positive vibes my way! Whatever you are doing, keep it up, I truly appreciate it!
