Philly Area BN Meetup - Round 2

Wed Dec 23, 2009 6:31 pm

I realize the holidays are upon us and everyone's busy right now but it'll be January before we know it. So I wanted to start a conversation about our next meetup.

How does Friday, January 22nd or Saturday, January 23rd sound for everyone?

Last time we hit Drafting Room in Spring House and Iron Hill in North Wales. It's been suggested that we aim for a BYOB place so that we can share homebrew somewhere heated rather than a parking lot this time. I know there were a couple votes for Capone's as well.

Thoughts about the date and/or location?

Cheers and Merry Christmas

I missed out on the last one and would definitely like to make this one. However, the 23rd will not work for me.

Capones sounds perfect.

Any friday/weekend at the end of January should work for me. I am still pissed I missed shat and his dad at the previous meetup. Capones works for me or there is Earth and Bread Brewery in Mt. Airy.

Thanks for jumping on this ThirdDegree. I just looked up the thread as it's New Year's Eve and I thought, "Crap, that means tomorrow is January."

I'm on board for either day. How about we start at a BYO to eat something and try some homebrew and then move to Capone's afterwards.

There's a great sandwich shop called Pudge's on Rt. 202 in Blue Bell (see attached) which is about 7 min. down the road from Capone's.

We can also see if Matt will allow us to share at Capone's. I've been there a few times when he's let people share with the bar.

Having a BYO on the itinerary is a good idea considering our late night parking lot drinking during the last go-around. Pudge's sounds like as good a spot as any and if it's a BYO, even better.

From the early replies so far, it sounds like Friday the 22nd is the better day. Barring any big issues, I think that should be the date.

So we start at Pudge's around 7-7:30 on the 22nd, and eventually make our way over to Capone's. Who's in?

Count me in. Nothing like Pudgies to soak up the beer the rest of the night.

Sounds good to me, the last one sounded fun.

I also liked the EB+B suggestion (walking distance for me)... maybe that and McMenamins for round 3?
