Advice on an IPA recipe

What do you guys think of this recipe? I'm trying to clone Flying Dog's Snake Dog IPA.



I know they use these hops and the 60L grain. Not sure about the base malts.

Does the OG to IBU ratio sound good?

What Yeast do you suggest?

I don't see the need to use bothe 2-row and M.O. malt. I would use one or the other. Personally, with the hops your using, I would go all M.O. for the base malts.

Yeah, that's what I had in there first. The recipe looked a little bland with only two grains. 'course MO is a little more flavorful that just Pale Ale malt so it might be ok.

I would go with Cali Ale or Nottingham yeast (attenuation), but you could also do well with an English ale if you go with the MO in the grain bill. The bu/gu ratio looks to be close enough for a balanced brew. Either way you go you should have a great beer.

If your really trying for a clone I'd say your OG and IBUs are both too high. Also Flying Dog most likley uses an American 2-row. I'd go with a Cali Ale yeast also.
