Good point. I hadn't thought of it from the perspective of someone just searching for a recipe to clone a beer. I know I'm gonna listen to all the shows regardless. I guess I'd be pissed.

It's not just you who mis-quoted Donosborn's recipe. JZ mentioned munich malt more than once when referring to that recipe. There is no munich malt in there.

Some of us are patiently waiting for the next Firestone DBA clone attempt...

I've made a great beer, but not a clone using a mini-mash converted recipe at the end of that show. I've got a second attempt the all grain recipe fermenting now. I'm eager to see how it turns out.

I'm just jazzed to listen to the show, whether you clone it or not. I especially like when Justin goes first and can't decide if it cloned or not. He seems a little gun-shy, thinking you guys are going to jump all over him. He doesn't give himself enough credit.

I also find it interesting why the recipe didn't produce the clone, and hearing what you guys think will make it a clone...picking up some good tips there.

Off the top of my head, I didn't think you guys were 50%....I thought it was higher. I look forward to a semi-annual show ( 2 hours maybe ), where you take your next shot at the clone. I figure since you don't need brewer interviews, you could squeeze 2-3 of the misses in their.

Keep up the good work.

Along the lines of some of the previous brewers, I think it woul dbe an added experience if you released the recipe you were trying when brewing yourself, that way some of your listeners could try the same brew and when tasting to see the similarities, they could follow along at home.

Maybe even have a contest for the closest beer brewed by the same recipe...
