cj, he gave out a document at the NHBC last year, and he has it in PDF format. If you send him an e-mail (from his website) he'll send you the notes from his conference and the recipe.

Otherwise, he sent it to me a while back, and I still have it, but I am at work so I can't forward it to you. Remind me and I'll e-mail it to you.

I posted that recipe on Ratebeer. It is the version that came from the handout Vinnie passed out at the Vegas NHC, and it also appeared in BYO. He may have tweaked some hops and hopping techniques since then, but that recipe will make an awesome Pliny-like beer. I would keep the total dryhop amount the same, but you may want to play around with the amounts for each variety. I find that Columbus tends to dominate in that amount, and the real Pliny seems to have a more Simcoe-like pine quality than the Columbus now...at least to me. Might try upping the Simcoe and lowering the Columbus.

um, I haven't been able to find that PDF file. Can someone hook me up with it, gonna brew this guy next. Also, anyone else have an opinion about the Simcoe/Columbus thing?
