Sorry, couldn't resist.

But seriously, this is my first cider. Pretty simple recipe.
5 gal juice
2 lbs brown sugar
8 oz raisins
1 pk Safale S-04 (dry english)

I pitched Friday night, and by Sat. AM it was fermenting vigorosely.
For 3 full days the airlock bubbled nonstop.
For some reason I was going to add the raisins after primary fermentation then I decided otherwise.
I chopped the raisins up and rinsed them in vodka, (maybe 1.5oz) to hopefully kill any nasties, and tossed them in.
Fermentation kept up the rest of the day. (yesterday)
About 5 hrs. ago the airlock had stopped all activity, all the raisins had floated to the top and it looked like the yeast was on top of it.
I shook it up a bit and 5 mins later the airlock started bubbleing again and still is.

My question is should it look like this?: (taken at time of post)

Should I keep shaking it a couple time a day?

Also, should I do a secondary? I don't usually w/ beer but if it's necessary I will.

Thanks

Looks pretty normal to me. I racked mine of the yeast and let it age in a secondary.

Does it smell right in cider? Does it taste right in cider? Does it feel right in cider? Then keep that carboy in cider as long as you can...

Sorry, I couldn't resist either. The only cider I ever tried to make tasted like ass, so I've not tried another one since.

Nothing looks unusual though. Good luck!

Does it smell like sulfurous poop? Then you're probably ok cuz that's what my ciders always seem to smell like.
