Shout out from Illinois

Sat Sep 06, 2008 8:15 am

Hey gang,
I've been listening to the BN for a couple of month's now. I'm getting caught up with the archives while I'm working (8-9 hours a day of programming). I love the Sunday Session, Jamil show and that other waste of broadband. Today I signed up to make a monthly donation to the network after making a couple of one time donations. I live in NE Illinios about an hour and a half east of BUB. I swear I can feel the asshattery from here. Been brewing for 8 years and all grain 6 1/2 years. I enjoy building my own equipment including a three tier gravity system and recently motorized my grain mill with a Rival meat grinder motor. I brew a wide variety of styles and like to use non traditional ingredients in the mash of boil. Some of my creations include a pumpkin parsnip beer, a blue corn malt liqour and ginger beer. Recently I've been focusing on brewing to style to solidify my brewing process. Looking forward to chatting and foruming. Big props to Mrs Carrot for figuring out how to manage 2 ipods on our laptop, otherwise I wouldn't have discovered the BN. She may already be regretting it. There is always an IPA or a Wee Heavy on tap to keep her happy.
