I got my scoresheets from NYC yesterday. If you entered in Atlanta, some have said they have a history of getting them back late. Hopefully you'll get them soon. I got some good feedback on some of my sheets, including a GM judge who judged my mead. I ended up with a 29 for a metheglin that got dinged for having too much vanilla character. I was afraid of that because I know I left it on the beans too long and used more than I should have ( 6 for 5 gallons). Next batch will be more subdued.

Congrats and best of luck to all you :asshat: who advanced!

And good luck to the BN for CotY. A lot of us roll with our local clubs, otherwise Seattle would've had a better showing.

Hope you have a nice trad to blend it down a bit in the short term?

Congrats to the BN'rs moving on to the second round! I had a 42 and a 44 in Atlanta and neither placed. Bummed.

Unfortunately no. Do you think the vanilla character will fade with age? I enjoy it but then I love vanilla!

My oktoberfest advanced to the final round with a 1st place. Weird, as I thought it was the worst beer that I entered out of the 7 I sent in. 5 others went to mini-BOS with great scores, but none advanced. I always find judging in comps to be quite subjective some times. Good luck to all in the finals!
